1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Drift ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Drift is an out-of-office (OOO) management platform that helps users manage their email and Slack communications during time away. The Service includes:

  • Gmail and Google Calendar integration
  • Slack workspace integration
  • AI-powered message categorization
  • Automatic status updates and Do Not Disturb settings
  • Return Playbook generation

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using Drift, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Subscription and Billing

Drift offers subscription-based pricing. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods

6. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

  • You will retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period
  • No further charges will be made after cancellation
  • You may reactivate your subscription at any time

7. Third-Party Integrations

The Service integrates with third-party services including Google (Gmail, Calendar) and Slack. By connecting these services, you authorize Drift to:

  • Access and read your emails and calendar events from Google
  • Send emails on your behalf (auto-replies)
  • Access and read your Slack messages and mentions
  • Update your Slack status and Do Not Disturb settings

You may disconnect these integrations at any time from your account settings. Your use of third-party services is also subject to their respective terms of service.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Drift, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service
  • Access accounts or data belonging to others without authorization

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within Delaware for the resolution of any disputes.

13. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at hello@withdrift.io. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue formal legal proceedings in accordance with the Governing Law section above.

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
